Here’s a link to a good page about trailers by A.J. Rhude for the ACBS  Membership.

Especially when locating project boats, we often pay a lot more for the trailers than the boats.   Boat yards and many owners don’t realize that a trailer can be a collectible make. They sell them for the price of a generic transport trailer.  And, really, that’s all they are worth in un-restored condition.  The thing is, if you find a Tee Nee, Gator, Little Dude, Sea King, Dilly, or several others that have distinctive styling from the ‘50’s, then after restoration, you have a perfect display for your vintage boat - making the combination more valuable.  Indeed, Antique Boat insurance specialists sometimes require original boat, motor, trailer combos to qualify as antique.
